The Pharmacovigilance Cell is established with the objective of promoting drug safety awareness and responsible healthcare practices among students and faculty.
The Cell aims to create awareness regarding the detection, assessment, understanding, and prevention of adverse drug reactions (ADRs). Although physiotherapists primarily deliver non-pharmacological interventions, awareness of medication safety, drug interactions, and patient history is essential for comprehensive patient care.
The Pharmacovigilance Cell conducts sensitization programmes, workshops, and academic activities to educate students on ADR reporting mechanisms, documentation procedures, and the importance of patient safety. It encourages interprofessional collaboration and promotes ethical responsibility in healthcare delivery.
Through systematic awareness and training initiatives, the Cell strives to develop competent physiotherapy professionals who contribute to patient safety and uphold standards of evidence-based and ethical clinical practice.
