Pediatric Department

The Pediatric Physiotherapy Department is dedicated to providing specialized care for infants, children, and adolescents experiencing a wide range of developmental, neurological, musculoskeletal, and respiratory conditions. This department focuses on supporting children with conditions such as cerebral palsy, developmental delay, autism spectrum disorders, Down syndrome, muscular dystrophy, pediatric fractures, congenital deformities, and respiratory conditions like asthma and cystic fibrosis. Each child presents unique physical and developmental needs, which are addressed through individualized pediatric physiotherapy interventions designed to promote optimal growth and functional independence.

The department’s primary goal is to help children achieve their maximum functional potential and actively participate in daily activities at home, school, and in the community. Early intervention plays a crucial role in managing pediatric conditions, as timely physiotherapy can significantly improve long-term outcomes. Whether a child requires support for delayed milestones, rehabilitation after injury or surgery, or management of a chronic neurological or genetic condition, pediatric physiotherapy provides comprehensive and compassionate care.

Physiotherapists in the Pediatric Department work closely with parents, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans that support the child’s overall development. Through continuous assessment, goal-oriented therapy programs, and family education, the department empowers children and their families to build confidence, independence, and an improved quality of life.
