The Equal Opportunity Cell of the College of Physiotherapy is constituted to ensure fairness, inclusion, and equal access to academic and institutional resources for all students and staff, particularly those belonging to minority and underrepresented groups. The Cell functions in accordance with the principles of equity and social justice enshrined in the Constitution of India and the guidelines issued by the University Grants Commission and the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences.
The primary objective of the Cell is to safeguard the interests of students belonging to minority communities, socially and economically disadvantaged backgrounds, and other vulnerable sections, ensuring that no discrimination occurs on the basis of religion, language, caste, gender, disability, or socio-economic status.
The Cell facilitates awareness programmes, guidance sessions on scholarships and government schemes, grievance redressal support, and mentoring initiatives to promote academic progression and holistic development. It works towards creating a campus environment that values diversity, mutual respect, and equal participation.
Through structured initiatives and continuous monitoring, the Equal Opportunity Cell aims to uphold inclusivity and empower all learners to achieve their full academic and professional potential within a supportive and equitable institutional framework.
